Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is Canada's newest accounting designation. It combines the best of the Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified General Accountant (CGA) designations. In Alberta, the Certified General Accountants of Alberta, the Certified Management Accountants of Alberta, and the Certified Accountants of Alberta are working toward unification under the new Chartered Professional Accountant designation.
