INTRODUCTION

Dear Friends,

Welcome to another year at University of Calgary - a special welcome if it is your first. We seek to be U of C's friendliest, most open association.

We discuss and act on issues of world peace, spirituality, religion, and the progress of humanity in all fields. We give the U of C community a forum for tolerant, informed discussion of the things that really matter.

The Bahá'í Faith is an independent world religion, and the second most widespread globally. It is a unique body of people reflecting every race, colour, nationality, class and religious background among its millions of members. Bahá'í's seek to build a global, peaceful society - and they're doing it, now.

The Bahá'í Association is a student group whose membership is not limited to Bahá'í's. The association organizes regular, and diverse activities open to all. Its main purposes are to bring people together in a spirit of fellowship, to promote independent and unprejudiced thinking, to foster unity among different racial, ethnic and religious groups on campus, and to collaborate with other organizations having similar aims.

We hope you enjoy the semester, and we look forward to seeing you at our events.

From Everyone at the Campus Association for Bahá’í Studies
