Events: Wine and Cheese! As usual, our wine
and cheese was a great time! Keep an eye out for the next one. Movie Night Beer and Wings These two above events
are currently on hold due to a lack of attendance. Please feel free to send

Competition You may have been
hearing word around the department about something big and exciting going
down... well if that something is about a great competitive squash
tournament, it's TRUE! Scheduled (albeit loosely) for the end of March,
we will be getting together for the next few months to hash out our
frustrations and build some major (or minor) skills on the court. We will
also be having a TBD competition (with prizes!) right before our bodies are
wracked with the pain of final exams. If you're interested in getting your
game on, let one of the executives know or shoot us an e-mail so we can get a
sense for who is planning on being in attendance. All skill levels are welcome including those who have never
played. It's going to be a lot of fun, so we hope you'll consider joining us
in the months to come! (Did I mention there will be prizes?!) Noon
Hour Lectures: The upcoming lecture
(February 8) is brought to you by Brian
Vivian from the ASA. His talk is on the Glenbow
Town and Quarry: A Hundred Years On. We would love to see you there! Chacmool is
currently co-hosting a series of lectures with the Department of Archaeology.
These lectures cover a wide range of topics and take place on Wednesday's
from 12-1pm in ES 859. Coffee and snacks are provided by Chacmool. If you
would like to volunteer to bring snacks to one of the lectures, sign-up is
outside our office. If you sign-up to bring snacks (and actually bring them)
you earn 2 volunteer hours. We fully reimburse you for bringing treats if you
show us the receipt. Conference:

Conference was quite the hit! If you would like to get involved in the 2012
conference, contact us for more information. See you
there! Our
events range from mixers with other clubs to field trips to movie nights and
everything in between. If you would like to receive information regarding our

"Subscribe" in the subject line. We'll add your email to our
mailing list and send you weekly updates of what is happening in the world of
Chacmool. We are also open to event suggestions and would love to hear from
