Volunteer with Chacmool

We love to have volunteers help us out. It looks great on a résumé and lets professors know that you're dedicated to your department! We offer various volunteer opportunities and can direct you to other volunteer opportunities as well. Students at the University of Calgary can now also get credit for their volunteering through the Co-Curricular Record. If you volunteer for 20 hours with us, we validate your Co-Curricular Record.

Ways to Volunteer:

Chacmool Conference. Contact us to find out more information regarding the 2012 Chacmool Conference!

Noon Hour Lectures. We love to have volunteers to bring in goodies for the Wednesday lectures. If you would like to provide the snacks for a lecture, you can either email us or sign-up outside of ES 826 on the Chacmool information board. We fully reimburse you if you provide us with a receipt.

Reading Room. The Department of Archaeology has its very own library that runs on the sheer power of volunteers like you! It's found in ES 810 and hosts useful books and reading materials, some of which are mandatory course texts or recommended readings. Without volunteers, the library doors are closed. If you can spare an hour or more on the same day every week for the Fall 2010 semester, check the door on ES 810 for the volunteer sign-up sheet or email the reading room coordinator at  nmsawyer@shaw.ca..

We truly appreciate our volunteers for their time and dedication. Thank you!
