The students gain investment experience and knowledge through active management of a real money stock portfolio. The purpose of the Trust is to augment scholastic knowledge with hands-on research, analysis and investment. Trading of the Fund began on October 18, 1996 and has since grown to over $340,000.

Summer Job Program
This program helps to provide summer internships to the new Research Associates between their third and fourth year of study. Past summer employers have been located in Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto & New York and include Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch, BP Energy, Scotia Waterous, CIBC World Markets and Ross Smith Energy Group.
Mentor Meetings
Students in the CPMT meet regularly with industry professionals to learn more about the finance community and gain valuable contacts. The mentor meetings are a key aspect of the program and contribute to the success of the CPMT students.
