Children's Writers Conference


The Missouri SCBWI Children's Writers Conference will be held at the St. Charles County Community College in the greater St. Louis area on Saturday November 2, 1996. The conference faculty are Missouri editors and authors successfully competing in today's market place.

Local writer talent includes:

MARK SUMNER, author of young adult thriller series popular in the United States and Britain. Mark has just sold two new series on solving paranormal mysteries.

VICKI BERGER ERWIN, author of two middle grade mysteries with Scholastic is now writing the Elizabeth Bryan series for Concordia Publishing. Vicki will be joined by her editor from Concordia, Ruth Geisler.

ARIELLE NORTH OLSON is a St. Louis Post-Dispatch children's literature reviewer. She is also the author of several picture books and stories in Ladybug Magazine.

TAMMY CHISM DUNCAN, now managing editor of Young Equestrian magazine. She has been published in many magazines as well as a Boyds Mills Press anthology.
