welcome to ro laboratory

My research interests are metabolic and chemical biology in plants and microbes. Current research activities are focusing on the adaptive biochemical evolution of sesquiterpene lactone in lettuce, sunflower and related plant species in Asteraceae family, biochemical and molecular genetic studies of natural rubber (cis-polyisoprene) in lettuce, proanthocyaninin metabolism in pea, and genomics and implementation of synthetic metabolisms in yeast for the production of valuable plant metabolites. My laboratory utilizes integrative and interdisciplinary approaches (e.g., molecular genetics, genomics, and biochemical tools) to advance the knowledge of metabolic biology.
