The title "Hagahot Maimuniot" means "Maimonidian glosses."
Rabbi Meir Ha-kohen of Rothenburg.
Late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries.
Rothenburg, Germany.
This work is not really a commentary, but an anthology of traditions, interpretations, decisions and responsa (the latter are often found in separate appendices entitled "Teshuvot Maimuniot") from French and German rabbis that are relevant to the rulings in the Mishneh Torah. The Hagahot Maimuniot is a valuable source for the halakhic literature of central European Jewish scholarship during the middle ages.
