The Icefields Parkway, Highway 93 north to Jasper, boasts a huge selection of some of the Worlds greatest ice routes and climbs for mere mortals. Routes from 2 to 7, 10m to 1000m, take your pick. The junction of the Icefields Parkway and Trans-Canada is just N of Lake Louise. Be aware that travel conditions on this highway in winter can be very poor. Be prepared for this. Snowstorms can and do close the highway every year, often stranding vehicles in the areas between avalanches, sometimes for days. Vehicles in the ditch are a common sight (maybe carry an old rope and shovel to help out those poor skiers). All vehicles travelling this highway must have a vaild Park pass.
Check on the road / ice conditions at the Warden station in Field or Lake Louise. The Youth Hostel at Rampart Creek is a "climbers hostel" but there also hostels at Mosquito Creek and Hilda Creek.
