Welcome to the Cross Lab Website
The Cross Laboratory

Mammalian Reproductive and

Developmental Biology

The Cross lab is studying the molecular mechanisms regulating early embryo development, implantation and pregnancy outcome, using molecular biology, biochemical, and genetic approaches with transgenic and mutant mice, and in large animals and humans.

The major research themes of the lab are:

  • molecular mechanisms of cell lineage specification
  • stem cells and developmental plasticity in the early embryos
  • feto-maternal interactions and maternal adaptations to pregnancy
  • reproductive longevity

For more information, check out descriptions of current research projects and a list of selected publications.

The lab is recruiting graduate students and postdocs - for more information on current postings, see Faculty of Veterinary Medicine website.
