Dad's 28 Roadster Pickup
This little Roadster Pickup belongs to my father. It's great fun to play
with, whether hauling oddities around town or toys to the beach. The truck
tops out at just over 45 mph and, with the mechanical brakes and all, is
real exciting to stop (in a hurry) from that speed. My grandfathers name
and 1935 phone number are lettered on the door, which is how we found his
original work truck. While visiting a threshermen's convention a number
of years ago an old acquaintance of my grandfather approached us and after
noting that the pickup wasn't the real truck, informed us that the original
truck was resting on his farm. Jack Cuncanon generously arranged for us
to acquire the old truck and it now rests in my
own back yard.
