Traditional, but...

The Campus Ministry provides three opportunities for formation in the Christian life: Worship, Prayer and Study.

The people who have spent time in our ministry have come from almost every denomination and they have all left some of their traditions with us. Our services look Lutheran or Anglican partly because we always have communion, but the theology is more United and Presbyterian. The music is influenced by the Roman Catholic tradition and there are Eastern Orthodox icons on the Table.

So its eclectic/traditional. But then we are experimental too. We use rituals that we have developed ourselves. We are liable to refer to God as “Mother”. The contemplative dimension-mostly silence and chant-is new to some people, so is the affirmation of different orientations and different faiths. We think of this as uniquely Canadian expression of Christianity.
