Unravelling the Yarns:
War Rugs and Soldiers

September 11, 2010 - January 31, 2011

A collaborative exhibition featuring selections from the Fyke Collection of Afghan war rugs in the collections of The Nickle Arts Museum and pieces from the
Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Museum and Archives.

Curated by Michele Hardy, PhD and Sgt Chris Mavin.

Complimenting this exhibition is the launch of a new online collection showcasing the entire Fyke Collection.

The site features commentary by Michele Hardy as well as links to the 2006 catalogue, “Made in Afghanistan: Rugs and Resistance, 1979-2005”.
