Research Symposium

The 1st Annual PDAC Research Symposium held on May 31, 2007 was a huge success!

· Over 70 registrants and guests attended the 1st PDAC symposium.

· The program included 10 oral presentations and over 30 poster presentations by University of Calgary postdocs.

· Prizes were awarded for the two best posters and the best oral presentation as well as numerous door prizes.

· A large number of University of Calgary Research Institutes, government agencies and corporations generously provided financial support and prize donations for this event.

The 2nd Annual PDAC Research Symposium: Celebrating Excellence was held on April 25, 2008, featuring our guest speaker, Dr. John Fyfe, co-recipient of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize! Dr. Fyfe’s presentation was a tremendous opening for the meeting and the event was a great success overall.

· Almost 70 registrants and several guests attended the symposium

· 9 oral presentations were delivered by University of Calgary postdocs from a range of different departments

· More than 30 poster presentations were displayed

· Awards included one prize for best oral presentation, two poster prizes as well as numerous door prizes.

The 3rd Annual PDAC Research Symposium was held on Friday 11 Dec 2009. Over 50 registrants attended morning and afternoon sessions with oral and poster presentations from UofC postdocs. The symposium included invited presentations from UofC experts discussing career options and professional development for postdocs.
