Welcome to the Brain Training Study for Breast Cancer Survivors!

Cancer survivors often report feeling mentally foggy after going through cancer treatment. We do not know if this fog is related to treatment, stress, or the cancer itself, but we do know it greatly impacts the quality of life of cancer survivors. That is why we are trying to find ways to improve cognitive abilities, such as memory and decision making, in cancer survivors. Welcome to the Brain Training Study for Breast Cancer Survivors!

As a participant, you will be randomly assigned to either one of two training groups, or a no-training control group. If you are assigned to the control group, we can provide you with the training after the study is complete. If you are assigned to a training group, simply play the online games for 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week, for 10 weeks. Before and after this 10-week period, you will come to the University of Calgary for a cognitive assessment (measurement of your thinking abilities, such as memory, thinking speed, and decision making).

As a participant in this study, you will be contributing to knowledge about how to relieve cognitive difficulties in cancer survivors. As a participant, you will have complimentary access to a Lumosity brain training program, and may benefit from training. For helping us with our research, you may be randomly chosen to win a retail gift card.

If you are interested in participating, please complete the survey below and we will contact you about your eligibility to join the Brain Training Study for Breast Cancer Survivors!
