SIMS is an SU sanctioned club run by approximately 10 University of Calgary undergraduate students. We are a
well-established club, with over 350 student members. We hold events that are geared to promoting careers in medicine, medical
research and the health care industry... but also just for FUN! Be sure to check out our News and

Kaplan: will be hosting their FREE MCAT Practice Test and Strategy Session on Mar. 13 and 18, 2010, respectively. Dates for staring of classes

Commissioner Application:
Want to take your involvement with SIMS a step
further? Looking for an opportunity to develop your leadership potential and
organizational skills, while learning more about health-care and medicine, and
having fun in the process? Join the SIMS team as a commissioner! Commissioners are
vital to the running of the SIMS, and there are tons of opportunities to spearhead
any of your own ideas for events, with the organizational resources of the club.
Executives for the club are picked from the pool of commissioners each year. Fill
out the attached application to be a commissioner,
and send it to us by March 28th, if interested.
1920's Charity Gala:
The SIMS, BSA, H&M, NSA and WISE are organizing a 1920's themed charity gala on
March 27th, 2010, at 7pm in the Alberta Room of the Dining Centre. A night full of
great costumes, music, entertainment and prizes. All proceeds will go towards the
Alberta Cancer Research Foundation. Please contact the Biology Students' Association
BSA in SA 117, or keep your eye out for our booth, regarding tickets for this amazing
fundraiser.

Each year, executive members are chosen mostly from a pool of SIMS commissioners. Commissioners act as liaisons between the exec and the
