Daynika Schade

Daynika completed her undergrad at Simon Fraser University. Her interest in insects began while working at Agriculture Canada during co-op positions. The majority of research involved determining the life history traits of blueberry aphids and the impact that the release of native predators had on field populations.

She began a Masters program in January 2006 and defended in December 2008. She studied bruchid beetles in the lab. Her projects explored the fitness consequences for females that had been reared with other larvae during development, in terms of their physiological condition and mating behavior.
