サンプルメニュー (Sample menu)
Beside the entrance of a restaurant, there is often a bright and large display window with a number of realistically sized, 3-dimensional sample food items. They amazingly look real, with good color and quality. These attractive samples provide ideal visual information for an easy choice.

It is not difficult to compare these sample menus with a printed menu. From a sample menu, a customer will not only know the main items and the methods of cooking, but also the combinations, other ingredients, presentation of the dish, the quantity and even a feeling of the quality. In that sense, a raw egg on top of the rice in a bowl represents the reality of the dish, a typical piece of information which is easily overlooked in a printed menu.

A sample menu leaves the restaurant limited freedom to change. In return, it certainly hints at stable service and a trustworthy reputation. International customers may wish that this way of service becomes a trend in other restaurants in the world.
