Heather Forest

Story telling supports reading and writing in the language arts curriculum by emphasizing the beauty and power of language to convey thoughts, feeling and ideas. Heather Forest's musical style of story telling has delighted audiences of all ages at festivals, conferences and theatres for the past twenty years.

It is Heather's belief that folk tales are a window into the diverse cultures around the world. She shares her highly acclaimed creative writing and storytelling workshops with young people in the Long Island area of New York. She is an awardwinning recording artist and an author of two picture books and a folk tale collection.
