The facilities for my research are grouped under the Laboratory for Passive Seismic Imaging of Earth Processes . PSIEP-lab consists of three components: 1) a set of 9 state-of-the-art portable broadband seismic observatories for regional earthquake monitoring and deep Earth investigations; 2) a surface/borehole microseismic monitoring system for reservoir studies; 3) a set of 5 portable broadband seismograph systems designed for rapid deployment and retrieval, and 4) a computational laboratory for data processing, imaging and analysis. The computational facility includes 6 8-core MacPro workstation, each with 2.0 TB of RAID disk storage. The most computationally demanding research tasks are carried using grid computing capabilities of the Western Canada Research Grid.

This facility was funded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), Alberta Innovates and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
