Yan Guo is Associate Professor in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) program within the Faculty of Education and an affiliated researcher with the Prairie Metropolis Centre of Excellence for Research on Immigration, Integration and Diversity (PMC). She holds a master’s degree in English from the University of Regina and a doctoral degree in language and literacy education from the University of British Columbia. Her research interests include second language acquisition, intercultural communication, minority parent engagement, second language writing, second language acquisition and identity, content-based ESL learning, discourse analysis, and diversity in teaching and learning.
